Students leaving will be marked as absent, but could be subject to further discipline, if they break state or federal laws. "The school corporation supports the right for students' voices to be heard, regardless of which viewpoint students express," he said in a parent letter. "Our students have done an incredible job communicating with us, and we are hoping that this will run smoothly for everyone," he said.Īt Kouts High School, administrators have also asked that students have parental permission to leave school, said East Porter Superintendent Rod Gardin.

Staff will watch at each door to make sure no one else reenters the building.
